One-man band with herky-jerky vocals and experimental off-kilter indie rock/post-punk. The problem with experimental music done by one individual is that the one person tends to get trapped in their head and think all their shit sounds great. Without the benefit of bandmates and other critical forces who could put pressure on the musical direction, you get a lot of stuff that isn’t as interesting as the artist thinks.

While the vocals have a quality somewhere in between a young, spastic Frank Black and the dude from the Shins, the music here is largely a snoozefest, with the except of the third track, an upbeat ditty that replicates a factory concerto with high-pitched guitar notes.
