When it first kicked in, I was like “Aww yeah! Great instrumental intro to some crazy hardcore!” But then the instrumental intro kept going. And going. And then I finally realized that they’re an instrumental metal band.

In that light, I’m not as into them. The music, while decent, is too straightforward and simplistic to be interesting as instrumentalism. (A couple of songs do have some faint vocalization, but it’s delegated to the background.) I would recommend Mastodon first.
