Energetic power pop with the castrati vocals and exasperating, diary-like lyrics of emo. (I’m not saying these guys are self-absorbed, but EVERY line has either “I” or “me” in it.)

Considering the album’s themes of loneliness, sadness, panic attacks, and other angst shared by today’s good-looking, suburban youth, the songwriting and execution are superbly tight and upbeat. Fans of The Starting Line will love this; this might also appeal to pop-punk fans who don’t mind a little whine with their cheese.

Bottom Line: Emo with pep.
