I know that Oklahoma is slightly behind the fast-paced world of New York City, so this may be shocking news to Third Grade Scuffle: it’s no longer 1998. Inept, sloppy, high-school-band ska punk doesn’t cut it anymore.

Not that today’s emo is much better, mind you, and I do like that there are kids out there who remember that fleeting joy of playing off-key punk with a trumpet. But I’m getting to the age where time is a valuable thing that can’t be filled by, well, Third Grade Scuffle.

Bottom Line: Bad punk with horns that don’t sound like they belong.
