Doomsday is a British sci-fi action movie that didn’t last too long in American theaters. All I know it had a hot girl in it with big breasts, other than that I don’t know a thing about it. Tyler Bates composed the music for this movie, and he has composed such films like 300, Devil’s Rejects, Dawn of the Dead, and the updated Halloween movie.

Opening up the soundtrack is two songs, one by Adam and the Ants and the other is by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. There’s really not much to say about this score. It serves it’s purpose by basically being background music for the movie. Most of the tracks are very ambient or atmospheric; I’m assuming Bates went with that direction since it’s a sci-fi type movie? There are a few action cues like “Hospital Battle” and “Sword Fight.” But other than that, I didn’t really like this score a whole lot.

Bottom Line: Could have been better
Notable Tracks: Exodus, It’s Medieval Out there
Overall Rating:
