I thought these guys were heavier, more metalcore. Luckily I’m wrong, and instead they play a blend of hard-edged indie rock, a little emo, and dark, brooding Faith No More-esque hard rock. They’re able to be emotional and intense without being either sappy or scary. A good midtempo heavy album.
