Urban Legends is Hutch Harris, frontman of The Thermals… who woke up after a party WITH NO KIDNEY!! Nah, but seriously, this girl I dated knew a guy who lost his kidney that way.

So yeah – Urban Legends is basically the same as the Thermals, except a little softer and bubblegummy and with worse production quality. But the songs are just as cute and snappy, with all that dorky, charming Thermally goodness. And the production quality is just because he recorded this stuff at home. At home… where HE LOST HIS KIDNEY!! OMG1!! PONIES!!1

Bottom Line: Fun, cute lofi rock-pop via a Thermal.
