“Chimney Records Presents” a 17 track compilation featuring various artists using two or three beats over and over in a “Riddim” record. Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Jah Vinci, and Stein are some of the artists featured on this record.

Heavy usage of autotune had me immediately turned off as these artists have to struggle with trying to perform without all the theatrics. Plus a beat that can be really annoying to hear several times over on a compilation does not make a great combination. Culprit #1 of over using Autotune is Vybz Kartel who I would imagine is aiming for that crossover demographic. Certainly is not me.

Bottom Line: Disappointing compilation with too much production and only a handful of artists spread out over 17 tracks.
