Prior to the beginning of the Pilfers sets at all of their shows they have always played this reggae compilation that I thought was so amazing. It got fans in the mood for their amazing show, but I never knew what it was until Nick from the Pilfers told my girlfriend. I decided to take the chance and go out and buy it and it soon became one of my favorite albums in my large collection. Reggae hasn’t always been one of my favorite musical genres, but after investing 17.99 in Reggae Gold 2000 that has changed. This album is a powerful reggae album filled with such hits as “Hot Gal Today” (Sean Paul and Mr. Vegas), Psalms 23 (Buju Banton Featuring Gramps), “Ganja Farm” (Beenie Man), “Back At One” (Sanchez), and “Stalag Y2K (Tenor Saw, General Echo, Buju Banton, Candy Man, and Sister Nancy) which end the first cd of this two cd set with a collection of some of reggae’s best musicians. The second cd which is the highlight of this two cd set includes songs by Morgan Heritage (Down By The River), Keep Them Coming (Wayne Wonder), Look (Bounty Killer), Satan Strong (Prof. Nuts), Magnet (Bounty Killer and Richie Stevens), and to top it off “Hot Gal Today” (Crotches Remix). Both CDs have 17 tracks each, so if you have trouble with math like many of us do……….. that’s 34 of the best reggae tracks you will ever hear. Do the reggae industry by going out and purchasing this album, which as I said is one of the best and most inspirational I have ever heard. The tunes on this Cd are both hardcore at times, but also emotional and inspiring. One Love!
