Watchers mix in aspects of funk and some Caribbean music (soca maybe?) to affect a fun, hip spin to indie-pop. They’re also very polished, and between the crisp pop production, the funkiness, and the jerky vocals, they kind of sound like Peter Gabriel doing music for a 70s porno.
