This is about as cheesy as singer-songwriter pop gets. Equal parts acoustic guitar balladry and overproduction, this album reeks of adult-contemporary radio. And surprisingly, it’s not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. That’s not say that it’s brilliant or anything, but it’s listenable, and Tell’s songwriting is above average. With 10 songs in 32 minutes, it’s pretty digestable. I have to give Tell credit, he knows how to write a quick, entertaining song that doesn’t run too long. This is my guilty pleasure of the month. Don’t tell my hipster friends I like this.

Bottom Line: Surprisingly adept songwriting. Very listenable.
