Ok, this is by far the best mini series of all time. Seriously, BOB is incredible. If anyone doesn’t know what Band Of Brothers is. It’s about Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army and you follow them from boot camp to the end of the World War II. Each episode features a different character’s point of view of what’s happening. The main characters are Winters (played brilliantly by Brit Damien Lewis), Nixon (Ron Livingston) and many others. It’s amazing to hear how a lot of the European actors pulling off American accent. When you watch behind the scenes stuff, your mouth is opened because you’re surprised to hear a British or Scottish accent coming out of the actor’s voice.

I can’t say enough about this show and I’m glad it’s got the recognition it deserved at the award shows. I almost feel this is better than Saving Private Ryan. Probably I liked this mini series better because some of the characters that you like actually survived. I think this is one of the most creative DVD cases as well. It’s a tin can, and it opens up and you drag out all the DVDs. There’s 10 DVDs, well because it’s 10 episodes that are an hour, and sometimes an hour plus. On disc 6, there is the “We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company” documentary on the survivors of Easy Company. The highlight of the extras is Ron Livingston’s video diaries from before he went to movie bootcamp to the end of it. The stuff is hilarious to watch, and I believe one of the actors says on the video while, at the beginning of bootcamp…”We’re fucked.” Watching that is funny, but it wouldn’t be funny if you were in their shoes, or boots for that matter. The making of Band Of Brothers could have been a lot longer but it was only a half hour. I wish they went into more depth with the making of it because I love those featurettes. GET THIS DVD!! The extras aren’t a lot but the episodes is what you want anyway so buy this DVD.
