DVD Tuesday Roundup (April 14th 2009)

DVD Reviews | By on Apr 14th, 2009

Welcome to DVD Tuesday Roundup for the week of April 14th 2009. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD releases that are worth buying or not. I can’t review everything I get but I’ll add quick reviews/snaps next to each title that’s being released. Each DVD title links to Amazon.com, and if buy from that link that, you’ll be helping out this website! And helping me go to Dublin, Ireland at the end of the month so buy up!

Here are the DVD releases of the week:

The Reader

Nudity and a depressing storyline. I’m sure my longfellow will be confused while watching this movie.

Wings: Final Season

Great final season from one of my favorite shows. I swore I did a review of this but I guess I never posted it. I’ll have it up tonight then.

The Spirit [Blu-ray]

This makes Hudson Hawk look like an Oscar film.

Exosquad: Season 1

Exosquad looks familiar but I’m not sure if I ever saw this. In any event, animated geeks will love to have this I’m sure.

Mean Girls [Blu-ray]

Funny movie but did anyone else think that Lindsey Lohan looked like Frankie Muniz with a wig on?

Hiding Out

I used to watch this movie everytime it was on TV. It’s one of those guilty pleasure 80s films that you just had to leave on if you saw it on TV. I thought it was pretty creepy of Jon Cryer to hit on teenagers though. If the movie was made today, he would be arrested at the end.

The Telling

Here’s the extremely bad looking horror film from Bridget of the Girls Next Door, who produced and starred in the movie. This was featured on the Girls Next Door. Holly stars in the film as well but that still won’t make me want to see this movie.

Skins, Vol. 2

I heard good things about this teen UK series. Is it like Degrassi but in England?

Repossessed (The Lost Collection)

Leslie Nielsen just wasn’t in slapstick comedies like Airplane and Naked Gun, he was also in a movie spoofing The Exorcist called Repossessed as well.

Dengue Fever: Sleepwalking Through the Mekong

This is the documentary about Cambodia/The World band Dengue Fever touring Cambodia. Band documentaries are usually interesting so I’ll eventually watch this one.

Mammazons 2 – Double-D Housewives

Why can’t I ever get movies like this to review? hahaha.
