It’s June and It’s time for another DVD Tuesday Roundup! Each week I’ll list the latest DVD releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get all the time so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows. Each DVD title links to Amazon.com, and if you purchase that product; the website gets a few cents! Woohoo!
Here are the DVD releases of the week:
I’ve heard lots of great things about this TV series, but it’s on Showtime. I don’t get Showtime, but I guess I can always rent on Netflix. The Actress looks hot on the cover but what’s with the 1950’s bathing suit?
The show is finally over and I’m actually happy about it. As much as I liked it, I was just so sick of all the damn twists and turns. It seemed like each episode there would be some insane twist or setback. I was happy with the way things ended up, but I’m sure Michael Scofield fans weren’t.
If I had to sit through a chick flick, I guess it would be this one. At least there’s nice eye candy.
I thought Defiance was a good action drama about Jewish resistance fighters. Daniel Craig gave a great performance. I’ll have a full review up tonight on the website.
Never seen an episode but I think I’d rather just watch The Unit. which is now canceled…fuckers!
I’m going to watch this one tonight but I heard it’s depressing. Maybe I should have read up on the movie first before requesting to see it? Sam Mendes is an excellent director though.
One of Ed Zwick’s best films. The ending is so heartbreaking. I’m not sure how the transfer is for this one, it’s an older film so not sure if its worth buying the Blu-Ray.
I actually liked a Spike Lee movie?! I believe there’s a sequel in the works which is cool, but let’s make the second film less confusing shall we?
Swayze can kick some ass!
I wonder if George ever smacked around Jane off hours for taking his wallet and always locking him outside?
See famous British people kill, bite, and murder people in this horror series hosted by Terrence Stamp and presented by Tony and Ridley Scott.
Zack Morris is a lawyer on TNT now. How many legal dramas are there? Talk about boring! But nothing will be as boring as all the forensic shows out there.
“Does this proposition entail me dressing up as Little Bo Peep?”
I liked this movie and felt it was one of the funnier Jim Carrey movies lately. Then they had to ruin the franchise with Evan Almighty. Sigh..
I thought Walking Tall was a good flick. Plus I really enjoyed Ashley Scott in a red bra. Yes I remember the color.
Does the fox eat the kid in the end?
Who the fuck would want this on Blu-Ray?!
My favorite stand-up ever. I can recite this stand-up word for word. Then I heard some old Richard Pryor material and couldn’t believe how much Eddie Murphy ripped him off. I can’t believe he got away with that stuff. This is still funny though. “Come give Aunt Bunny a kiss baby”
