DVD Tuesday Roundup (May 12th 2009)
DVD Reviews | By Bryan Kremkau on May 12th, 2009
It’s time for another DVD Tuesday Roundup! Each week I’ll list the latest DVD releases that are worth buying or not. I can’t review everything I get but I’ll add quick reviews/snaps next to each title that’s being released. Each DVD title links to Amazon.com, and if buy from that link that, you’ll be helping out this website! Let’s get on with it shall we?
Here are the DVD releases of the week:
Great, short action flick. Liam Neeson still has it and I wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel to this. Maggie Grace was miscast though. She doesn’t look 17 at all, even with the brown hair. Expect a full review in the next few days.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans [Blu-ray]
Another Underworld movie I have yet to see.
Two and a Half Men: The Complete Fifth Season
I didn’t think this show would last a season. I guess they proved me wrong.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly [Blu-ray]
Classic movie to watch on a Sunday afternoon
Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy
All of Seth MacFarlane’s funny animated web shorts come to DVD. I’m surprised they made this into a DVD considered each short is a minute long.
I still haven’t seen this one. I just know Steve Buscemi goes through a woodchipper and they all talk like Sarah Palin.
Now you can see Tom Hanks awkwardly touch Elizabeth Perkins’ boob in super high-def!
Penn & Teller Bullshit: Complete Sixth Season
Another excellent season from Penn and Teller. This time they go after people being Green, war against porn, stranger danger, and yes..they even go after dolphins!
Great Sci-Fi comedy that pays tribute to Star Trek and their fans…and with a little poking fun of them along the way
There’s Something About Mary [Blu-ray]
FRANKS & BEANS!
Hilarious sports movie. “JUST a bit outside.”
Hilarious show that featured Steve Carell, Steve Colbert, Robert Smigel, Bob Odernkirk and Dana Carvey of course. I was pissed when this got canceled. Thankfully Shout Factory is releasing it on DVD!
Party on Wayne
Party on Garth
The Jeff Foxworthy Show: The Complete Second Season
This season was a lot better than the first. And yes, I used to watch this show when USA Network used to air reruns of it.
Not as funny as Tommy Boy but still a funny comedy starring Chris Farley and David Spade. “I got dibs on top bunk”
