Bye Bye August, it’s time for September. Man, this summer has sucked and went by so fast. Kids are going back to school, which I still get that feeling every year. But anyway, here’s the DVD Tuesday Roundup! Each week I’ll list the latest DVD releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows. Each DVD title links to Amazon.com, and if you purchase that product; the website gets a few cents! YAY!

Here are the DVD releases of the week:

Heroes – Season Three

Heroes used to be a good show, then some where along the lines; it just got repetitive and stupid. I watched Season 3 but I won’t be watching Season 4 because I just can’t put up with repetitive storylines. Let me guess the next threat for our Heroes…a nuclear explosion and Sylar is gonna be making bad one-liners and shape shifting into people we don’t give a shit about?

Supernatural: The Complete Fourth Season

People claim this is a good show but I can’t see how any show on the WB can be classified as “good.” This looks like The Ghostbusters: The College Years.

Braveheart [Blu-ray]

Definitely one of the top 5 favorite movies of all time. I really wish I had a Blu-Ray player because I heard the transfer for this is amazing. I guess I could always watch this over at my Brother’s place. If we get this sent to us, expect a full review of it!

Gladiator [Blu-ray]

Gladiator is another favorite of mine. Not sure how the transfer is but I’d expect it’s decent enough?

Desperate Housewives: The Complete Fifth Season

My girlfriend has been watching this DVD nonstop since she’s gonna review it on the site. Sadly, she’s gotten me hooked on it now. Hey, at least the show is funny and has a bunch of hot cougars on it.

Brothers and Sisters: The Complete Third Season

…Hopefully she doesn’t get me hooked on this show next too.

State of Play

This Russell Crowe film looked decent, I’m surprised it didn’t last long in theaters. I’ll give it a shot on DVD though.

Rescue Me: Season 5, Vol. 1

Rescue Me is just about the only show I watched this summer. I thought this summer was one of the funniest and one of the best. It sucks the show will be going off in 2011.

Disney Nature Earth [Blu-ray]

Expect a full review soon on the site but I heard this looks amazing on Blu-Ray. Disney Nature videos always rock!

M*A*S*H [Blu-ray]

I still haven’t seen anything really from M*A*S*H. I guess I should at least see the movie right? My grandmother would be proud haha.

The Girl Next Door (Unrated Edition) [Blu-ray]

Elisha Cuthbert is yummy in this movie, plus this movie is actually pretty funny in spots.

Monster (2003) [Blu-ray]

One movie where I wouldn’t want to bone Charlize Theron

Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory: Season One

Rob and Big is a funny show but felt staged a lot of the time. Not sure how Rob’s new show is though.

Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares: Complete Series Two – The Original U.K. Series

This series is so much better than Hell’s Kitchen because Gordon Ramsay doesn’t scream and shout as much, and comes across as…a likable guy!? Get out of here! The music is better on the UK series too.
