Here’s the DVD Tuesday Roundup for September 28th 2009! I got sick of the old photo so I decided to take a new one of some DVDs of mine. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows. Each DVD title links to Amazon.com, and if you purchase that product; the website gets a few cents! YAY!
Here are the DVD releases of the week:
“I don’t think we should role play anymore….” One of my favorite UK comedy shows! I wish there was a third season but I don’t think that’s happening since Nick Frost is getting more popular these days. Instead of releasing just the 2nd season, MPI just released both seasons on 1 DVD instead. Expect a full review soon!
FANTASTIC season of the Unit. I can’t believe the show wasn’t renewed because it still got good ratings up to the end of the series. I guess it cost too much to produce this show? Each episode felt like it’s own military movie.
Now THIS is a boxset to own. I could watch these episodes over and over and never get bored with them. Truly an underrated show that deserved some awards and recognition.
The show everyone watches but me. I guess I should start watching huh?
This movie was a lot of fun to see in theaters, especially in 3D. It could have been better in some areas but I enjoyed it for the most part.
There seems to be new editions of the Wizard of Oz every year. I’m really looking forward to the 76th Anniversary DVD Edition where they add 1 second of footage to the classic film.
Was this any good? It didn’t look like it was any good based on the scenes I’ve seen.
I can’t wait to see CSI: Boise and CSI: Scranton
Sam Mendes directed this indie (but not really indie) romantic comedy. Mendes is an excellent director and I always look forward to his movies so I’ll definitely rent this one. I can’t see myself buying it out of the blue though.
Believe it or not, I haven’t seen Labyrinth. David Bowie is scary.
One of the many movies that scared me as a kid.
I want the original He-Man cartoon as a complete series set instead!
Now you can see how awful the CGI is for the snakes…on that mother fuckin’ plane.
This is a Steven Soderbergh directed film starring porn star Sasha Grey. I seriously don’t know what the fuss is about Sasha Grey, she looks extremely average.
The cartoon is okay but seriously, who would pay over 100 bucks for this?
Kirk Cameron is a brainwashed, religious whackjob. Time to drink the kool aid weirdo.
Hasn’t this been released already? Apparently this show was good but got canceled way too early. What else is new.
Never seen one episode……yeah, that’s the ticket.
