It’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup for March 22nd 2011. The titles coming out today include: The Tourist, Skyline, The Venture Bros.: The Complete Season 4 , Yogi Bear, Stand By Me, Anastasia and more. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Here are the DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the week:

The Tourist (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

Not entirely sure what The Tourist is about except it takes place in Venice. It was nominated for Golden Globes but it was probably just to get Depp and Jolie there for the awards show. I’ll give this movie a try and see if it’s any good. I’ve heard mixed reviews.

The Venture Bros.: The Complete Season 4 [Blu-ray]

I saw the first few episodes of this season on Adult Swim and I just couldn’t keep up. Now all the episodes are on this Blu-Ray, the DVD is broken up into 2 volumes. So far I’m liking this season, with many funny moments. I’ll have a review of this up by the weekend.

Yogi Bear (Three-Disc Combo: Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy)

This movie makes Garfield look like an Oscar winner. Holy crap, this looks incredibly bad, and Dan Aykroyd doing the voice of Yogi just sounds awful.

Scarecrow and Mrs. King: The Complete Second Season

Something else Tron is known for.

Stand By Me (25th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray]

A classic! I haven’t seen it in a few years so I’ll have to watch this eventually. I love the Family Guy spoof of the movie as well. TRAIN! TRAIN!

Skyline [Blu-ray]

One of the latest aliens attacking a city movie that has come out in the last year. Sci-fi geeks seemed to like this one though, so maybe it’s not so sucky.

Ernest Double Feature: Ernest Goes to Camp & Ernest Goes to Jail [Blu-ray]

I liked Ernest Goes To Camp as a kid. Shut up.

How Do You Know [Blu-ray]

Yet another typical romantic comedy from James L Brooks. This was panned by critics from what I remember, for whatever reason.

Anastasia [Blu-ray]

Never saw this 1997 animated movie. I remember the name but that’s about it. Was one of the first Fox Animation Studios movies and stars John Cusack, Meg Ryan and Kelsey Grammer.

Robots [Blu-ray]

Wasn’t a fan of this one. Read my old review here.

The Sandlot [Blu-ray]

A baseball classic that I must watch every time I catch it on TV!

Cartoon Network’s first full-length CGI movie. It’s got dragons in it, takes place in the middle of the earth I guess, and is based on a comic book.

Scary Movie 4 (Unrated & Uncensored) [Blu-ray]

I actually liked the majority of the Scary Movies, including this one that generally makes fun of War of the Worlds. But this series is definitely the reason why there were so many inadequate and shitty comedy spoofs out there.
