DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (March 8th 2011)

DVD Reviews | By on Mar 8th, 2011

It’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup for March 8th 2011. The titles coming out today include: The Walking Season Season 1, Inside Job, The Next Three Days, Morning Glory, Excalibur, Mystery Science Theater 3000: Vol. XX and more. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Here are the DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the week:

The Walking Dead: Season One [Blu-ray]

The Walking Dead was one of the best new TV series last year. I usually can’t watch too many gory things but the Walking Dead was tolerable…or I just fast forwarded the gorier stuff. The Walking Dead is the first show since Lost for me, that I needed to watch immediately. I just wanted to find out what happened. I’m also currently reading (*gasp*) the graphic novels now. Can’t wait for a longer Season 2!

Inside Job

An Oscar winning documentary I really want to see. Just like Michael Moore movies, it will probably anger me after seeing it.

Billy Joel – Live at Shea Stadium (2 CD /1 DVD)

I was just watching this on PBS last night and I have to say, I was kind of bored with it. I love Billy Joel but his shows just aren’t what they used to be.

The Next Three Days

I like Russell Crowe movies so I’ll probably see this one eventually.

Morning Glory

Harrison Ford should do more comedies. This one actually looks decent, but not sure if it is or not.

Jackass 3 (Two-Disc 3D DVD / Blu-ray Combo + Digital Copy

I’d rather watch Jackass movies and TV shows in my own home, that way I can fast forward all the man ass/junk and gross Steve-O humor. I just want to watch them hurting themselves and each other haha.

Excalibur [Blu-ray]

The quintessential King Arthur movie still. I like the Clive Owen movie but still doesn’t come close to this mystical version of the Arthurian legend.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: Vol. XX

More excellent episodes of MST3K!

Daniel Tosh: Happy Thoughts

Not a fan of Tosh and his Soup rip-off. Not sure if his stand-up is any better or worse. Guess I’ll find out since I got a copy of this to review.

Colin & Brad: Two Man Group

I wondered what these guys were up to after Whose Line Is It Anyway. I always liked that show.
