DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (October 12th 2010)

DVD Reviews | By on Oct 12th, 2010

It’s Tuesday, October 12th and it’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup! Some of the DVD and Blu-Ray releases coming out today include: How to Train Your Dragon, The Tudors: The Final Season, Ladies & Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones, Dollhouse: The Complete Second Season, Ghost Whisperer: The Fifth Season, The Darjeeling Limited, Jonah Hex, Lost Boys: The Thirst and more! Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Here are the DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the week:

How to Train Your Dragon (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Dragon Double Pack) [Blu-ray]

This did very well at the box office and seems to be a lot of fun. Anyone see it? I definitely want to rent it and see if it’s up to par with other Dreamworks & Pixar movies.

The Tudors: The Final Season

Seems like a cool show to watch, I might want to check it out on DVD now that the show is over.

Ladies & Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones [Blu-ray]

Shot over 4 days in Texas in 1972. Rock on!

Dollhouse: The Complete Second Season

The second and final season. Joss Whedon has no luck with TV series. Let’s hope he has better luck with the Avengers.

Jonah Hex

An Oscar winner.

The Darjeeling Limited (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

Hipster indie crap.

Ghost Whisperer: The Fifth Season

This show lasted 5 seasons?!

C.S.I.: Miami – The Eighth Season

Forget about Ghost Whisperer, this show lasted 8 seasons?! I thought they would have ran out of cheesy one-liners for David Caruso to say.

Lost Boys: The Thirst

Does Corey Haim play a vampire in this? What? Too soon?

Essential Bugs Bunny

If you have the Golden Collections, this is pointless to own.

Dexter’s Laboratory: Season One

Never got into this cartoon but I’m sure people will like this release.

Three Kings [Blu-ray]

I only saw this movie once, I own it, yet for some reason I never wanted to watch it again. It was okay.

The Hangover (Extreme Edition) [Blu-ray]

Still think this comedy is massively overrated.

He-Man & She-Ra Christmas Special

He-Man and She-Ra celebrated Christmas?? What about Moss Man?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer [Blu-ray]

WWII in Hi Def [Blu-ray]

Not the History Channel mini-series. But still, if you’re a WWII buff this might be worth watching.

Angel: Complete Series

Never liked this or Buffy.

Snl: Presents a Very Gilly Christmas

This character is so stupid and unnecessary
