DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (September 13th 2011)

Blu-Ray Reviews, DVD Reviews | By on Sep 13th, 2011

It’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup for September 13th 2011 and some of the titles coming out today include: Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blu-ray], Thor, The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Fourth Season, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Citizen Kane (70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition) and more. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) [Blu-ray]

George Lucas continues to tinker with the original trilogy and continues to rape the childhood of millions of Star Wars geeks. I’m looking forward to seeing how clear the movies look, but it comes with a price. Why on Earth would you include dialogue during a pivotal scene that didn’t need dialogue? What’s next, CGI alter Princess Leia slave bikini because it’s too revealing?

Thor (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy)

Apparently Thor is a good movie. I haven’t seen it yet but I really have no expectations for it. I hope it’s good, Marvel has been on a winning streak of late.

The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Fourth Season [Blu-ray]

Another funny season of Big Bang Theory! Like the regular additions to Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik. I’ll have a full review of the season up soon!

Glee: The Complete Second Season

Would rather stare at a wall than watch this

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena [Blu-ray]

Sex and Violence, can’t beat that. Sad to hear the original Spartacus from the series passed away the other day.

Rescue Me: The Complete Sixth Season

The 6th and final seasons of Rescue Me, which just aired this past Wednesday. The final episode was kind of all over the place, but kind of happy with the ending I suppose.

Citizen Kane (70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition) [Blu-ray]

The greatest movie ever? I don’t know about that but a lot of people seem to think so.

Camelot: The Complete First Season

I watched about 6 or 7 episodes of this series and just lost interest. It had some nice women to look at and some cool fight scenes, but essentially no where near the awesomeness of Game of Thrones. Plus I really lost interest when I heard it wasn’t going to be renewed.

The Count of Monte Cristo [Blu-ray]

An underrated movie that features a very young future Superman Henry Cavill

Ghost Hunters: Season 6: Part 1

The season I finally got fed up with Ghost Hunters. Never finding anything substantial, and then cross-over shows with the Real Housewives????!!! Jumping the shark ten fold.

Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop

This documentary about Conan’s tour looks really interesting, I’ll definitely be checking it out.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: The Complete Second Season

and the power of Grey Skull!!

Also coming out today:

Supernatural: The Complete Sixth Season

Grey’s Anatomy: The Complete Seventh Season

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Season 6

Blue Bloods: The First Season

The Tempest [Blu-ray]
