DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (September 6th 2011)

Blu-Ray Reviews, DVD Reviews | By on Sep 6th, 2011

Holy crap it’s September already. Yikes. Time is flying this year. It’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup for September 6th 2011 and some of the titles coming out today include: X-Men: First Class, Community: The Complete Second Season, The Office: Season Seven, Hanna, Parks & Recreation: Season 3, Everything Must Go, No Ordinary Family: The Complete First Season and more. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

X-Men: First Class (+Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]

Excellent prequel to the X-Men movies and one that should revitalize the series since X3 and the Wolverine movie sucked donkey dick. I think this is one of the best comic book movies ever honestly. No where near The Dark Knight but this is very entertaining!

Community: The Complete Second Season

I started watching Community but just couldn’t keep up with the episodes. I watch an episode or two here and there, but want to try to get back into the show. I have to rent all these DVDs first though.

The Office: Season Seven [Blu-ray]

Eh. This show has gone downhill bigtime. James Spader is one of the people replacing Steve Carell and could be a good change. His character was creepy and hysterical so we’ll see if he changes things. I just don’t care about the other characters anymore. Jim and Pam used to be the ones you cared about, now they have a kid; they just have gone…boring.

Fringe: The Complete Third Season [Blu-ray]

Still an underrated, entertaining sci-fi show that makes you think and trying to guess what’s going to happen. The third season was a lot different than the other seasons, but not sure I liked the alt. realty episodes. Everything came together in the end though.

Parks & Recreation: Season 3

Eh, from what I’ve seen of the post Season 1 episodes, still not a fan.

Two and a Half Men: The Complete Eighth Season

Generic comedy that will get even worse when Ashton Kutcher comes on board this season.

Everything Must Go [Blu-ray]

Will Ferrell goes serious again. Rather him be his usual self I think, to an extent anyway.

Ghost Adventures: Season Three

“Dude,” “what bro,” “I think I heard something dude,” “I bet it was a ghost bro.” That pretty much sums up this show.

No Ordinary Family: The Complete First Season

Why do they say Complete First Season when they know this is the only season they will be releasing?

Also coming out today:

Hanna [Blu-ray]

Scarface Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray + Digital Copy]

Dressed to Kill [Blu-ray]
