I remember watching this when I was in high school and before that but I didn’t really remember this film except the dialogue, the Star Wars references and hockey. I believe it was out of print for awhile. If you never saw this film, well it’s not for everybody. It’s about Bob and Doug McKenzie (Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas) and nothing matters more than Beer, Hockey, and Beer. They try to do a scam to get free beer, since they spent their beer money, by putting a mouse in a beer can, but the Brewery doesn’t fall for them, and yadda yadda yadda, they are working for the brewery. A Mind controlling brewmeister (Max Von Sydow) is trying to take over the computer. The film isn’t like bust a nut funny but it’s okay. Some funny scenes, and you start talking like them as soon as the money starts. It’s contagious eh, Yeah Beauty. SEE!! The extras could have been better but it’s an old movie so be thankful the DVD even made it onto a DVD. There’s a small Canadian dictionary and helps you out if you don’t know what they are. Words like “Hoser” “Eh” ‘Beauty.” There’s also some skits from their SCTV days, and an animated short. Overall, not a bad DVD. I’ve seen worse.
