Well, once again I agreed to review a movie Bryan did not want to watch, and once again I’m mad at him. But I can understand why he didn’t feel like seeing ‘Who Made The Potatoe Salad.’ This time, he owes me 2 hours of my life back! “Who Made The Potatoe Salad” was probably one of the lamest, worst movies I have ever seen….and I’ve seen some pretty bad flicks too. Now, I figured it might have some charm since it stars former TV icon, Jaleel Steve Urkel’ White, but I was wrong. Waaaayyyyy wrong.

The movie has a stupid plot and it’s also not very original. A young L.A cop named Michael (White) goes with his fianc Ashley (Jennia Fredrique) to finally meet her family for Thanksgiving. Turns out, her family is REALLY dysfunctional. Surprise surprise…this one has been used before, MANY times. Her father is a Black Panther, her grandparents get their freak on, and so on. I’m surprised this film wasn’t called Meet Da Parentz.

Being that this movie was a straight to DVD release, I wasn’t expecting TOO much. I mean, after all, Eddie Griffin does make an appearance, and we all know how bad he is, but this movie was just flat out awful. It was also kind of boring to me. The funny’ parts weren’t remotely funny, and the frequent usage of the “N” word by Urkel’s fiancs’ father is absolutely unnecessary. Although he does have some “beef” with the police…oh yet another twist in the plot. I tried really hard to get into this movie and enjoy some parts of it but it just wasn’t happening. And thankfully I didn’t have to sit through any extras since there wasn’t any on the DVD.

So basically what I’m saying here is, don’t waste your time with ‘Who Made the Potatoe Salad.’ Jaleel, go back to being a washed up child actor and start doing drugs or something. Eddie Griffin, well, he just needs to stop…Or at least film a sequel to Undercover Brother with Doogie Howser. Why this movie was made, I’ll never know. Who cares about who made the Potatoe Salad!
