The Levellers premiered a new music video yesterday for the track “Our Forgotten Towns.” The video consists of nothing but fans photos and videos of their “forgotten towns.” On June 25th, their album Static on the Airwaves comes out and everyone should pick it up! Why? Because I said so!
The song from the band’s new album is an elegy to the ailing British high streets which have been usurped by the ubiquitous out-of-town shopping centres.
Levellers appealed to their fans asking for content to help make the video asking them if the song made them think about where they live or somewhere close by. The response was brilliant with loads of great (or rather sad) images of towns and cities around the UK.
