The ska-core vets are at in the news again. This time they have released the tracklisting for their upcoming rarities collection “Medium Rare” which is set for a December 18th release. The band has also released part two of the “Road To The Throwdown” webisode. In it you can hear some snippets of one of the Bosstones’ newly recorded songs titled “Don’t Worry Desmond Dekker”. Awesome song!
Here’s the word from Joe Gittleman, the bass fiddleman himself:
MEDIUM RARE TRACK LIST
Hey everybody
Medium Rare is looking good, sounding good and ready to go! We were really down to the wire with a lot of last minute recording and general nail-biting deadline stress but we made it all work. Recording the new songs was a real blast and we are already talking about doing some more
Judging by all the “why isn’t such and such on it” messages, I can only assume that the track list has already been announced somewhere. I wish releasing our OWN music was as simple as making a mix tape, but unfortunately many of the extras from over the years (Pirate Ship, Zig Zag Dance or Common Decency to name a few) are songs we don’t have the right to release. On this record our goal was to include as much new and trully unreleased stuff as we could. Obviously, we also threw in some of our favorite releasable rarities as well. As for the songs we couldn’t or for whatever reason didn’t include…SHARE ‘EM IF YA GOT ‘EM
see ya
