Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

There is some very exciting news coming out of the DC Ska scene. Caz and the Day Laborers released their new EP via Bandcamp today, April 30.

The five-piece group is a who’s who from the DC Ska scene. The band is led by Caz Gardiner, DC Ska royalty and one of the scene’s most fantastic vocalists. Gardiner is probably best known from her time in DC Ska Legends, the Checkered Cabs. In the past, she has also lent her vocals to powerhouse ska bands the Pietasters and New York Ska Jazz Ensemble on some of their recordings. In addition to Gardiner, the band also features Jorge Pezzimenti (Pietasters, Decepticonz) on guitar, Teddy Garcia (Los Granadians) on Keys, Jorge Banales (Checkered Cabs, Ready Steady Go) on bass, and Curtis Reaves (The Smooths) on drums.

The EP features 6 songs as well as dub companion versions of each tune. It should be noted that ska producing legend Victor Rice mixed the record from his studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

You can check out the excellent tune ‘You Got It’ below. And check out the entire EP here on Bandcamp.
