Jessie Baylin’s highly anticipated major label debut, Firesight, will be released June 24 on Verve Forecast. The Boston Globe calls the L.A.-based songstress, “impressivepowerful engaging” while Nylon magazine describes her as “a vision to beholdshe channels the unbridled energy of a boiling tea-kettle.”

Recorded at Hap Town Studio in Nashville, the 12 tracks on Firesight build and expand on material featured in Baylin’s first full-length album, You. The new album also continues Baylin’s collaborative efforts with Grammy-winning songwriter Jesse Harris (Norah Jones) and features co-writing contributions from Mike Daly (Whiskeytown), Mark Goldenberg, Greg Wells and Danny Wilde (Rembrandts). The album was produced and engineered by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Rogue Wave) and includes guest appearances by fellow Hotel Caf alumni Cary Brothers and Brett Dennen, drummer Brad Pemberton (Ryan Adams), guitarist Joe Pisapia (Guster), and brothers Ned and David Henry (Josh Rouse, Cowboy Junkies), among many others.

Baylin is currently featured on the forth-annual Hotel Caf Tour sharing the bill with artists such as Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers and Greg Laswell. On April 18, she will join British musician Newton Faulkner on tour followed by a series of May shows supporting acclaimed singer-songwriter Teitur.
