XM Radio responded to “my feedback” with a generic response but it’s not stopping people from writing to the Satellite Radio station. The station is realizing that this will be a stupid decision to remove the punk/ska station. Here’s what I got in terms of a response:
Thanks so much for taking the time to write with your comments on XM 53 Fungus.
We recognize and appreciate the fact that Fungus and punk, ska
and hardcore has loyal fans like you, but because we have limited space on our platform for music channels, we’re often faced with having to make difficult decisions when it comes to what’s available on our channel line-up. Fungus was one of the channels that had a very loyal but also a very limited audience.
Some of the music heard on Fungus can be heard on other XM channels including Fred (XM 44) and Ethel (XM 47).
Again, we appreciate you being a fan of Fungus and hope you listened to enough other XM channels to stick around as a subscriber.
Thanks again for writing and for being part of the XM Nation.
Best regards,

Nope, not gonna stick around Mr. Zellner. XM is mediocre and so is Sirius. Besides Opie and Anthony, The Joint, NHL Home Ice and Cinemagic, XM is just typical radio. So I think it’s time to cancel my XM subscription and stop giving these jackholes my money.
Be sure to keep writing into the station here. Even if you don’t have XM or Sirius, write into the station and complain that there is no punk or ska music on the radio anymore!
Looks like punk fans are just gonna have to face the fact that punk will never be on corporate radio and gonna have to listen to it on college radios, podcasts and online radio stations. Until the man takes that stuff away too. Which I’m sure will be next.
