This lazytempo East Bay punk band is sort of like Rancid in slowmotion: They have a great poppunk catchiness that you could really singalong to if their music were four times faster. It seems like they took great twominute songs and slowed them down and extended them to fourandahalf minutes. And they also do some 60’s soul stuff which would be cool if they’d speed it up too! What the hell, are they waiting for an invitation to rock out?? Man, listening to American Steel is like trying to squeeze the remaining drops out of Hershey’s chocolate syrup. You know it’s good but damn you wish it would come out faster.
