The Class War are somewhere between stylized-but-sterilized fashion rock and cleancut bar rock.
On the positive, “Don’t Forget I’m American” has a decent fashion band sound but suffers from a lack of punch. “Put Your Lips On Me” is a straight-up glam tune and might be their best track.
Among the embarrassing tunes, “Love Is” sounds like a Broadway showtune with cheesed-out vocals following the guitar melodies. The title track also has a terribly melodramatic theater quality to it, and “Here And Now” is bouncy but its male-female dual vocals sound terrible.
It’s good that The Class War are doing different things, but they need more zip and edgier vocals. Also, adding theatrical elements to rock is only good if you’re Queen or Queensryche.
