With the release of its full-length debut only a few weeks away, Atlanta’s Morning State is adding more summer tour dates, including a Chicago date with White Rabbits, the Forecastle Festival in Louisville with Dr. Dog and others, the popular Athens, GA Athfest celebration with pals Dark Meat, and many more. The band will also be recording a studio session with Paste Magazine today, which will be available in the next month or so. The band will embark on some warm-up dates tomorrow, and will join XYZ Affair and JukeBox the Ghost for dates in the next couple weeks.

Morning State has released two songs from the upcoming You Know People I Know People so far”Oh Yeah” and “Never So Strange”, both of which have gained big notice for the band. You can check those tracks out below. The album is set for release on May 6th, and countless outlets are getting excited. The entire album will be streaming for free during the week of release at AOL’s Full CD Listening Party.

Morning State will celebrate the release of You Know People I Know People, with two special release shows in Athens and Atlanta. The band’s Athens release show on May 6th is nearly sold out, and the May 15th Atlanta release show with Athens’ Casper and the Cookies is a free event.
