All Out War is one of the very few Victory bands I actually still like. Sorry Victory, just not impressed with the lineup over the past few years. AOW pretty much record a new album every leap year it seems. But when they released a new album, it’s freakin’ great! Who knows who’s in the band, and who isn’t but the band always had a revolving door for their band members. I know Mike the vocalist is still there, I know that much. ‘For Those Who Were Crucified’ is my favorite album from the band but the last album was killer as well.

The first song “Curtain Call for Crucified” is an awesome track to start the new album off! It sounds right out of the “For those Who Were Crucified” days but I guess they couldn’t find another word for crucified huh? The band always seems to have song titles that sound alike. Besides the vocals sounding great, I’ve noticed the guitars and drumming particularly on this album. I don’t really notice things like that (or really care like other critics do); but the guitar riffs/breakdowns and the thrashing sound amazing. Makes me want to smash someone’s head through a wall. I’ll definitely be listening to this album when I’m at the gym. But anyway, this album is more metal and less hardcore than their previous albums but that’s okay because ‘Assassins in the House of Gods’ is still awesome! All Out War fans will definitely want to listen to this new album.

Bottom Line: If you like any kind of metal, you’ll really dig this album!
Notable Tracks: Curtain Call for the Crucified, Assassins in the House of Gods, the Angels of Genocide
