Undersea Explosion bounces between darkly rhythmic, almost goth-ish, garage rock and a folkier garage rock with vocals reminiscent of Dylan or Richard Hell. It’s a bit weird when they mix the two together, like on “Scarlet Fever,” which has both moody drumming/guitars and folk harmonica.

They say “This Is…” but I’m not altogether sure they know who they are yet. In any case, they’re not bad, though the tuneless vocals are a taste to acquire.
