Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

LA punk rock band The Generators are set to release their 10th studio album Life Gives-Life Takes via Randale Records on May 5th. I’ve loved their other releases so looking forward to this one! You can watch a lyric video for their new song “Castaways” below.

For the better part of two decades, The Generators have been one of the most productive and consistent bands from Los Angeles. From their early days on Triple X Records (Social Distortion, GBH, Jane’s Addiction) to their years with TKO Records (Dropkick Murphys, Swingin’ Utters), the band has witnessed, outlived and chugged through the passing trends of LA’s punk rock scene, all while cutting their own path by creating substantial and memorable music that set them apart from others.

Founding members Doug Kane and Mike Snow’s punk rock roots reach even deeper having both been in bands in during LA’s punk rock boom of the early 80’s. Inspired by the 1977 Punk spirit, it was then that they realized their true calling and would spend the next thirty years making punk rock music, never compromising and never wavering along the way.

For their 10th studio album, Life Gives-Life Takes, The Generators have come full circle, paying homage to their early days as a band with enthralling rock ‘n’ roll infused punk that showcases their maturity as songwriters while maintaining a youthful spike of angst and aggression.

“This record is a rock n roll record, but our street punk upbringing definitely shines through, more so than our last few records,” explains Kane. “The vibe is similar to our humble beginnings. It’s a step forward, but I also think it has glimmers of our past in it as well. I wanted to bring the bands songwriting back to the our earlier days where we kicked out those upbeat energetic 2 minute rock n roll anthems!”

Life Gives-Life Takes was recorded and produced by the band’s good friend Rich Mouser at The Mouse House Studios in Los Angeles, and features 12 hard-charging punk anthems including the new single “Castaways,” the rollicking album opener “Gotta Be A Better Way” and the ripper “Critical Condition.”
