Believe it or not, I’ve been waiting for this one to make it onto DVD for awhile now. I’ve grown up watching this underrated film from the 1980s. This is where the Wayans got there start, doing stuff with Robert Townsend. The funny Wayans, like Keenen Ivory and Damon. Also they worked on Robert Townsend’s Partners In Crime HBO specials as well. I wish they would release those on DVD too. Anyway, this movie is about Robert Taylor, who’s trying out for a role in a movie, which is filled with stereotypes and doesn’t know if he should go through with it. But throughout the movie, there’s skits that are just flat out funny. Though the ending does get a little boring. I’d rent this movie just to see the skits “Black Acting 101,” ” Eddie Murphy Type,” ” Sneaking In The Theater,” and “Jerry Curl Showdown.”
