Gogol Bordello announces new album and tour dates
Gogol Bordello have a new album coming out in the spring called “Transcontinental Hustle” and have also announced initial tour dates in the USA as well as Europe. What’s even cooler is DeVotchKa is playing with them on the US dates! I’m not sure if DeVotchKa is playing with them on their US Tibet Benefit Show at Carnegie Hall on February 26th, or any NYC dates but they are for other US dates. I might have to attend one of those shows! Can’t wait to hear the new album as well. Tickets go on sale Friday and Saturday but a pre-sale is happening right now if you sign up for the band’s website. Read on for more info from Eugene Hutz and the band:

DeVotchKa announces Denver New Year’s Eve shows
DeVotchKa have announced a few shows for December 30th and New Year’s Eve. In Denver, you’ll have a few chances to see the band perform before it becomes 2010. The shows will be held at the Mercury Cafe, in the upstairs ballroom and will occur on Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday, December 31. These shows are all general admission.

DeVotchKa touring with David Byrne
DeVotchKa will join David Byrne for the “Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno” tour, playing four dates in June. Don’t miss the chance to see DeVotchKa this summer with David Byrne and on the festival circuit in the US and Canada. The closest NY date the band is playing is in Philly on June 5th. I guess i’ll check them out next time they are in town.
