If you haven’t noticed by now, The Specials are playing the United States and we’ve been discussing it at length here at ReadJunk.com. Their first Terminal 5 show on April 21st quickly sold out so it was only a matter of time until we got an announcement that another show would be added. Terminal 5 announced on their website today that they will be playing on Tuesday April 20th! It just sucks the show was added before their first show announcement. They better have a great setlist to make up for that!

Did Bowery Presents prematurely ejaculated the news that The Specials were playing Terminal 5 on April 21st? The show was announced the other day here. A pre-sale for American Express cardholders was suppose to go on sale today but that obviously that didn’t happen.

Wonderful news to wake up to this morning from @skacumentary on Twitter! The reunited Specials are playing New York City on April 21st at Terminal 5. While that venue isn’t my first choice to see them at, I’ll take it! This is a show NOT to be missed! The band were also announced to play Coachella a few days ago so the chances of them playing NYC were very high. Bowery Presents say the tickets will go on sale January 29th at 12 EST. If I don’t get tickets to this, I might have to murder someone. And if anyone knows someone to contact about a photo pass, let me know!

Mojo Magazine scored excellent interviews from The Specials (minus Jerry Dammers). The interviews were conducted by Danny Eccleston and Terry, Neville, Lynval, Roddy, John, and Horace all give their take on the current Specials reunion. They talk about the band breaking up, how the band got back together and of course the elephant in the room, why Jerry Dammers isn’t part of the reunion. It’s an amazing read and something everyone should check out!

The Specials (minus Jerry Dammers) have announced more 30th anniversary dates for the UK. These dates will be their final dates of their tour. Are the Specials leaving the USA fans out to dry? Seems like it to me, unless they announce something soon. The band will also be playing the Glastonbury Festival this month, along with T in the Park Festival, the Oxygen Festival in Australia, and Summer Sonic in Japan.

Last night, on BBC 2’s hit music show, “Later.. with Jools Holland,” the UK ska legends reunited on the air for the first time since 1981. The only member that is not joining the reunion show and tour is Jerry Dammers. Terry Hall is back alongside Neville Staple, Roddy, Horace, and company and it appears they are as strong as ever. Check it out after the jump!
