Back in 2003, right as Against Me were making a name for themselves with the album As The Eternal Cowboy on Fat Wreck; they also had a bunch of leftover demos lying about. To award fans, they decided to release the demos from As the Eternal Cowboy called the Original Cowboy. This is the result.
I was never a fan of Against Me but I always like the song Cliché Guevarra. That song starts off this 8 track album, it’s just rawer than the original version. All the songs are roughed up, raw, and full of energy. This album only appeals to Against Me fans. Why would newcomers want to listen to demo versions of the songs on As the Eternal Cowboy? I’d just get that album first.
Bottom Line: Even if they are demo tracks, they are still good.
