The Shackeltons are from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and this is their self-titled debut album off of Loveless Records. Its hard to classify The Shackeltons into one genre of music but I guess the words indie, rock, post-punk and noise come to mind. I never been a fan of this style of music and I’m not sure what to think of the Shackeltons. They seem too weird and noisy to me, and this isn’t something I’d like to hear or see live. They just seem like the type of band that would open for punk bands, and then take forever to get off the stage. I had to eventually turn this CD off because I couldn’t take it anymore.

Bottom Line: Fans of the Pixies and Fugazi MIGHT enjoy this. I didn’t.
