One of my favorite action movies. This DVD is loaded with extras and it’s a great movie to own. Seeing Sean Connery curse a lot is some funny shit. The action is great too. Seeing guys get impaled on fences and their skin melting away is just awwwweeeessssooommmeeee. For anyone who doesn’t know about this film, it’s about some military guys taking over Alcatraz and attempting to blow up California. Sean Connery is an ex Gov’t guy who escaped from Alcatraz and helps out the U.S. Gov’t. He’s there to get the military into Alcatraz, along with a FBI chemical warfare expert (Nicolas Cage) to disarm the rockets. The movie was already on DVd but the first one, which I have also, sucks and has no extras on it. This DVD is Michael Bay approved and has some outtakes, making of stuff, and lots of other goodies. The outtakes are really funny to watch because it’s basically just Ed Harris fucking up his lines all the time. But what’s funny is after he screws up the lines, he gets MAD! I mean smash phones, kick walls and curse off a storm MAD! Great stuff. Definitely get this if you lied the movie and like action packed films.
