Dating myself and well the band too, but I haven’t seen the Mad caddies since they opened up the 1997 Warped Tour in Asbury Park, NJ. They were new to the scene and it was really a welcomed sight as well. Flash forward several years, releases and many many tours, the band is still going strong, albeit, maybe not as full time as when Ska/ Punk was at its boon.

The last time I saw the Levellers, it was 6 years ago at Shepherds Bush Empire in London, England. The Levellers were back again in support of their latest, awesome album Static on the Airwaves. They were joined by folk punker Gaz Brookfield and Citizen Fish. Definitely a great night to start off my London vacation, despite the cold & rainy weather!

Well the Summer Olympics just got ten times more interesting! The Specials will close out the Olympics with Blur and New Order in Hyde Park at the closing ceremonies. I really hope we get to them perform! I’m glad with the choices of the bands, but I’m sure others will argue over who are the “best” of the British bands.

The NJ punk band will perform 4 nights in 8 cities like in Chicago, Cambridge, New York, Philly, London, Vienna, Denver and LA. Looks like they got most areas covered. It’s no secret that the Levellers is my favorite band. While I can’t cross the pond to go see them perform all the time, the next best thing is either their live DVDs or CDs. In this case, Live at Royal Albert Hall is a brand new live album, recorded at the famous Royal Albert Hall in London. The album is available through the band’s fanclub, or you can purchase a download version at iTunes internationally (yes it’s available on US iTunes as well)!
