The Informant is a dark comedy based on a true story, which I never knew about until now. Matt Damon plays a likable yet annoying character and Steven Soderbergh directed an overall good movie. But I don’t think everyone will like this film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Clash of the Titans are the next big movies going the 3-D route. While I don’t mind the 3-D glasses and paying the extra money for movies worth seeing, I foresee studios over-doing it just to climb onto that 3-D Avatar train. “Hey, Avatar beat Titanic because of 3-D sales, let’s do it too!” Harry Potter movie in 3-D sounds awesome though, but call me skeptical about this whole 3-D experience stuff. What’s next, seeing every movie in 3-D just because every filmmaker has the ability too? I hope we don’t see Sex and the City 2 in 3-D. Nothing like seeing Samantha’s knee knockers protruding off the screen.

Don’t like Netflix? Well here’s another reason to dislike the service and Warner Bros. If you’re waiting to check out the newest releases from Warner Brothers, you’ll have to wait a month later to get them (28 days to be exact). Warner Brothers is doing this to increase sales of the DVDs. I’m sure other movie studios will be following in WB’s footsteps in no time if this turns out to be fruitful for WB. I really don’t like this move and don’t think it’s gonna make a difference. A bad movie is a bad movie and people still won’t buy something if the movie sucks. but I guess we’ll find out how this all plays out.

Harry Potter keeps getting darker and darker and I love it! The latest movie flew into theaters this summer and is now out on home video…just in time for the holidays! The Half-Blood Prince book wasn’t my favorite but I think the movie is the best Harry Potter movie since The Prisoner of Azkaban!

The Terminator franchise continues on without Arnold, this time starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. McG takes the reins from James Cameron and company and does a decent job with the material. Is this the best thing in the world? No, it’s not but it’s entertaining enough not to throw something at the TV.

I’ve been a fan of Fringe since day 1. If X-Files and Lost fans are looking for another show to fill the void, look no further than Fringe starring Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble! The DVD (and Blu-Ray) will be something to own just so you can watch the episodes over and over again. I’ve seen each episode at least once and still can’t figure out what’s going on!
