Poughkeepsie Journal: The Chance nightclub complex in Poughkeepsie, an old Vaudeville house that has hosted historic performances by The Police, Peter Frampton, David Bowie and Bob Dylan, is up for sale.
The current owners, in charge for the last 14 years, are asking $2.4 million for the entertainment complex, which includes The Chance and two smaller clubs, one of which is The Loft and one which had been called Club Crannell. Co-owner Frank Pallett said The Loft has also been put up for sale separately and that he and his partners would entertain offers for the different clubs.
Club Crannell is undergoing renovations and will reopen, possibly in April, as an Irish bar called The Nutty Irishman. Pallett declined to name the asking price for The Loft.
