Demetra hails from New York and the band is fronted by Demetra, along with two other members. I believe they are currently looking for a new guitarist now. The first thing that I noticed about this music is how much it reminds me of Joan Jett or Pat Benatar. You know, that 80’s female rocker sound. Just add a hint of punk rock to the music and you know Demetra sounds like. Her voice is good and doesn’t irritate me, so that’s always a good thing. The overall sound of the band is rockin’ and I can seriously see their music being put in a comedy that spoofs 80’s movies.

Bottom Line: Female-fronted rock band, if that’s your thing you’ll like Demetra then.
