Casio weirdness that’s all the rage these days, with consciously jerky vocals in the vein of Devo or Talking Heads. The music is more upbeat than other Casio bands (but not as punky as Helen Love or Atom & His Package), but I’m not crazy about the approach – I get the sense that they’re trying too hard to be weird and snarky in a space age bachelor pad way.

Also, the focal point for the band is the organ, and it’s not utilized that well – simple melodies (or ripped-off melodies) are hammered out instead of any impressive musicianship. Space age Jackie Mittoo, this is not. But some of the songs are fun, and the background female vocals have that atonal Le Tigre sound, which is cool.
