Yippee Screamo! Silverstein sound like two different bands to me. Whiny pop rock and then a screaming metalcore band. Fucking pick one! I’m so sick of this god damn genre. Actually, if Silverstein just sang instead of doing the screaming thing, I’d might actually like them..or well, at least tolerate them. The guy has a good voice, I just dislike hearing vocalists scream and then the next second singing like a pimple-faced teenager. I can see why this band is so popular because they do sound good, I just can’t stand this type of music. If anything, it’s okay to listen to live. Since this came out in July, I’m sure everyone has this album already so my opinion won’t matter now. This album wasn’t horrible like other screamo bands’ albums, but I’m definitely not going to be buying girl jeans and painting my fingernails anytime soon that’s for damn sure!
Bottom Line: Eh..Sounds okay.
Notable Tracks: Sound of the Sun, If You Could See Into My Soul
