Hardcore band Terror tear it up at the legendary CGBGs club in NYC. This was recorded on June 10th, 2004 and was recorded directly from the soundboard. So what you get is a raw sound, but something that’s suitable with punk and hardcore music. This recording contains 11 songs from the band, and this also happens to be the first time the band played in NYC as well.
Unlike the Toasters’ CBGBs recording, I don’t mind this raw recording from the club because it sounds somewhat decent for a punk/hardcore live album. It still sounds like a bootleg to me but I’m willing to let that go. From listening to this Terror live album, it makes me want to see the band the next time they’re in town. Or maybe check out a old school sounding hardcore show in general. Today’s hardcore seems to be too much screamo and other horseshit like that. But I can only imagine how crazy the crowd is with stage diving and the pits at a Terror show. If you love hardcore music and Terror, be sure to listen to this live album from CBGBs!
Bottom Line: Decent live album from Terror
Notable Tracks: Better Off Without You, Overcome, Keep Your Mouth Shut
