This is volume 4 in the cheap-o Go Kart series, which I think I might have one other CD from in this series. I usually like compilations like this because they are cheap and you can discover some bands you never heard of. I don’t think I know most of these bands on this comp besides World Inferno Friendship Society, Ten Foot Pole and Guff.

Rifu starts the album off and but I don’t like that band. I just think they sound awful. I think the comp should have started with Ten Foot Pole’s “Last Call for Russell’s Balls.” I’m surprised there is a lot of normal sounding punk rock on this compilation. It’s kind of strange to me to hear a lot of pop punk, and punk bands on a compilation. I usually get compilations to review that have nothing but screamo bands on it. Bands that don’t suck on this compilation include Ten Foot Pole, Gaslight Anthem, I Farm, Guff, Parasites and Bamix. If you want to check out the latest Go Kart Records lineup and some other bands, then get Go-Kart vs Corporate Giants 4.

Bottom Line: Cheap comp, decent bands
Notable Tracks: Music from Ten Foot Pole, Gaslight Anthem, Parasites and I Farm
