Chuck’s Season 4 brings in an action packed 24 episodes full of adventure and comedy! Starring Zachary Levi as the affable Chuck, now a full fledged spy, is now on a mission to track down his estranged mother from his childhood and reuniting the Bartowski household. Along for the ride as always are Chuck’s spy buddies Col. John Casey and Sarah, Chuck’s smoking hot girlfriend and former handler Sarah, and best friend Morgan. The series again features some great pop culture guest stars and is still considered one of the best shows on TV.

In Season 4, Chuck is relentless in finding his mother who went missing years ago and reuniting his family, along with his sister Ellie who is expecting with her husband Captain Awesome, err Devin. Though his mother might be more than what Chuck was expecting. Sarah and Casey are out doing other mission ops without Chuck when Season 4 starts but that doesn’t put a stop to the seriousness of Chuck and Sarah’s relationship. In fact Chuck is considering planning the best marriage proposal, much to the chagrin of Sarah as she is terrified at commitments. Chuck’s best friend, Morgan (Joshua Gomez) is now part of the team and has begun training with his buddy Casey, though Morgan dating his estranged daughter might not be a good idea by trying to stay on Casey’s good side. When Chuck’s mother is revealed, it’s played by Linda Hamilton of Terminator fame, and has some funny call back references to the famous franchise. Another great guest star in Season 4 was Timothy Dalton, the former 007 Bond from the 80’s, and his character on the show was fun to play I am sure. Other guest stars include some new and returning guest stars including Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Laroquette, Lou Ferrigno, Dolph Lundgren, Robert Englund, Nicole Richie and Summer Glau to name just a few.

With each season of Chuck, we once again are treated to the duo of Jeff and Lester otherwise known as Jeffster, and this season did not disappoint as well. I think the duo treads nicely down the middle of over usage and some of their performances were pure comic magic. The extras feature a nice little featurette on the Jeff & Lester Story. Not to mention the usual funny stuff like the gag reel and “declassified” deleted scenes in which you can find spaced out throughout each disc on the set. The other extra features take a look at Zachary Levi’s directorial episode and what he took to prepare for wearing multiple hats on the set. All of the features are presented in HD.

Chuck has been one of my favorite series the past 4 years and it’s with a sad heart, Season 5 will be it’s last but hey, might as well go out with a bang and have a good time with it. The cast really put out a great product and it’s a lot of fun each week, with laughter and pop culture references and guest stars. Season 4 was filled with many great episodes and now’s your chance to look back and re-watch all these fantastic episodes.
